DIY; Nursery Vintage Style bookshelf

Ryder’s room needed a shelf to hold all the things I’ve been accumulating and been given since pregnancy and his birth.  As per usual when I can’t find what I’m looking for I take up the challenge to make it!  This is an easy project totally doable in a weekend or if your like this mum over 2 weekends, I’ve noticed babies at least this baby has a great way of ‘needing’ me when I need to do something!

You will need

Instructions

  1. Assemble boxes as per instructions I brought mine from IKEA
  2. Lightly sand to ensure no rough edges that could cause splinters to you or your babe
  3. Stain wood, paint the stain on and wipe with a cloth to ensure you don’t get stain drips
  4. Stack boxes the way you would like
  5. Connect boxes using drill and screws
  6. Install in room and don’t forget to add L brackets to secure the bookshelf to the wall
  7. Decorate!
